Gloves & Mitts

Baseball or softball gloves are essential to a ballplayer’s needs. Baseball/Softball gloves (also called mitts) vary in terms of style, size, and position. For instance, infield gloves are shorter so that infield players can quickly transfer balls to their throwing hand. Outfield gloves are longer so that outfielders can easily catch fly balls, while catcher’s mitts are heavily padded to cushion against fast pitches. A first baseman’s mitt is a lot like an outfield glove in terms of structure but has a larger web to help scoop up low-thrown balls.

We’ve reviewed gloves from brands like Rawlings, Nokona, Under Armour, Wilson, Louisville Slugger, Franklin, Easton, Marucci, Mizuno, and more, including tips & tricks on how to care for your glove. Read on!
